What exactly is Corporatism in fascist theory?
A mostly free market with certain socialist elements, notably the nationalization of key industries and the shut-down or censure of any industry that harms the Nation.

That's not corporatism at all. That's fucking social democracy.

OP the idea of corporatism is that the entire economy is integrated into the totalitarian state. Not in the sense of a centrally planned economy but rather all industries are organized into singular bodies subordinate to the government but also through which the industry at large can be represented within the government. Hence the term "corporatism". The entirety of the nation both in state and in economy functions together as one body.

Reminds me of mercantilism.

It's very inspired by guild systems so that's no coincidence.

Fascism is literally just social democracy without the democracy part

The government has control of business or something like that. Kind of like how the US government had control of companies like Ford during WW2.
It's a system similar to syndicalism (from which it evolved) in which industries are represented as "corporations" and workers, owners, and the state have equal representation.
Retards today think it means "businesses control everything".

Corporatism, not to be confused with corporatocracy, can be described with a single word: "privatization".
Corporatism is the belief that public services are better preformed by privately owned corporations than by centralized state institutions.

What the fuck is this nonsense, that's not even close to true

>What the fuck is this nonsense, that's not even close to true
Probably the most common sediment on /his/.

>Kind of like how the US government had control of companies like Ford during WW2.
Except that's bullshit.
Fun fact: Opel, the company that made most of Germany's trucks, was a subsidiary of General Motors. GM execs profited greatly by selling to both side even during the way.
Not /his/ but could modern day China be seen as a fascist state, without all the negative connotations
Fascism nationalizes corporations and workers unions. It can alter the wages of any employee, including the "owner", which is not actually the owner but more of a CEO as the government is the true owner/shareholder, depending on the size of the company of course. The purpose of this is to settle any labor disputes also serving as a government controlled humans relations. Property rights are still respected so any government takeover of a business would be rare for smaller companies.

Try North Korea.
In theory, it's about balancing the interests of workers, the state and industrialists.
In reality, it means the workers get squeezed.

He's right ya know. Most post WWII social democracies draw heavily from the fascist manifesto to a tee.
