Do you think it would have worked if religion was heavily repressed and people were moved against their will to mix the population, would it help to create single national Serbocroatian nationality?

Not entirely. Yugoslavia was very "confederated". The respective ethnicities never really ventured outside of their ethno republics hell most people never went 50km whatever the largest regional town was. Serbs went to university in Belgrade Croats went to uni in Zagreb (exceptions to the rule notwithstanding).

Whole coastal Dalmatia, Istria as well, had shitload of Serbs, Bosnians and Albos come in. Their interest was primarily for better quality of living, the Yugo government knew what they were doing. They weren't sitting on their hands for 40 years. JNA service also played a big role.

Childhood is thinking Serbs were brutal murderers who were 100% to blame.
Adolescence is REMOVE KEBAB SERBIA STRONK memes.
Adulthood is realizing everyone had valid points, and unnecessarily sperged out because of self-serving elites who abused nationalism as a tool for gaining and maintaining power.

It was, Bosnian "Muslims" are essentially atheists, they drink alcohol and don't know (or care) about their religion. Bosniaks are an athenicity just like Serbs and Croats, labelling them "Muslims" is highly misleading, making people think they're Turks or some shit.
