How is Stalinism different from Communism?

stalin was a dictator that massacred his people

Stalinism was a specific brand of communism. There are many similarities regarding economic philosophy, but the main differences are based on political beliefs and how to achieve a communistic society.
Stalinism emphasized the role of the leader and the party more, even allowing for radical dictatorial actions to achieve the ultimate end. It also was more nationalistic / less globalist in its view compared to orthodox communism as defined by Marx.

this.
Stalinism was imo more realistic in the regards that they wanted to shut themselves off and make their own utopia instead of fighting a worldwide revolution until 100% of the world is communist

Isn't collectivization what communists wanted?
I do know forced collectivization wasn't on their minds but how else would they do it?
It seems to me that Stalin used the utopian parts of communism which Marx theorized would happen and forced them.

Yeah did want to collectivize farming, but Stalin took it to a whole new level

Also, wouldn't that be praised by Lenin? I know about the NEP and those things but he did it not to ruin the economy. Pretty sure he would have liked it, after all he was in favour of revolutionary vanguardism.
Do i have the right to another opinion?
Joseph Vissarionivich was the man trying establish new order where anyone could have all basic needs and develop himself.
He was the person of that time: strong and tough.

>That is why the essence of true Stalinism is to ensure in the future the freedom and opportunities for mastering the potential of personal development for all as the basis of society's life in the continuity of generations
And from his book:
"It is necessary, in the third place, to ensure such a
cultural advancement of society as will secure for all mem-
bers of society the all-round development of their physical
and mental abilities, so that the members of society may be
in a position to receive an education sufficient to enable them
to be active agents of social development, and in a position
freely to choose their occupations and not be tied all their
lives, owing to the existing division of labour, to some one
occupation.
What is required for this?
It would be wrong to think that such a substantial advance
in the cultural standard of the members of society can be
brought about without substantial changes in the present
status of labour. For this, it is necessary, first of all, to
shorten the working day at least to six, and subsequently to
five hours. This is needed in order that the members of
society might have the necessary free time to receive an all-
round education. It is necessary, further, to introduce uni-
versal compulsory polytechnical education, which is required

in order that the members of society might be able freely to
choose their occupations and not be tied to some one occupa-
tion all their lives. It is likewise necessary that housing con-
ditions should be radically improved and that real wages
of workers and employees should be at least doubled, if not
more, both by means of direct increases of wages and salaries,
and, more especially, by further systematic reductions of
prices for consumer goods"

J.V. Stalin realized the lie of Marxsism.
He wrote:
"Further, I think that we must also discard certain other
concepts taken from Marx's Capital — where Marx was con-
cerned with an analysis of capitalism — and artificially
applied to our socialist relations. I am referring to such con-
cepts, among others, as "necessary" and "surplus" labour,
"necessary" and "surplus" product, "necessary" and "sur-
plus" time."
"I think that our economists should put an end to this in
congruity between the old concepts and the new state of
affairs in our socialist country, by replacing the old concepts
with new ones that correspond to the new situation.
We could tolerate this incongruity for a certain period,
but the time has come to put an end to it."

Stalinism keeps you at that vanguard state because you do not have outside revolutionaries helping you because you conquered them
A stronger proto-national identity
