Fighting unjust cruelty with unjust cruelty helps no one and all of what I mentioned weren't things that won the war, for all intents and purposes the war was already won by the time any of this happened. Hell, we now know that Fatman and Little Boy weren't necessary and that Japan supposedly wanting to stay in the fight was a translation error and they were already talking about giving up by then.
