The Mound Builders covered a larger territory, the various Mesoamerican civilizations had much higher populations AND much greater cultural development, really all the Inca had going for them was metallurgy and even there they were only just beginning to develop when the Spanish raped them out of existence.

Incas had an actual empire, and an efficient one at that, with taxation, a regular army, and a great road system, comparable to that of the Roman empire.

Also Inca had better agriculture than literally everybody else on earth at the time.
