I think that it´s that Turkish drama about the Sultan´s Harem. Pretty popular on /int/ couple of years ago.

"John Adams" was a good one about the first 50 years of the USA through the life of its 2nd President, John Adams. Not gory thpugh there are a couple of tough scenes during the war episodes.

Also, the mini-series about the Pillars of Earth books was enjoyable, but not as good as the first one I told you.
