It's not the media really but the fact that if you use the word "faggot" or "tranny", SJWs will fucking blow up on you on social media, accusing you of ignorance, harboring and engendering perspectives which view sexuality and gender roles as a duality. I was 19 in 2005 and I mentioned shemale porn to a bunch of similar aged coworkers in Blockbuster and they all burst out laughing and thought I made it up. The next day when they confirmed its existence they called me a disgusting pervert. Last summer when Caitlyn Jenner was in the news they were on Facebook virtue signalling about it. How times have changed.

I feel the same way when it comes to gay marriage. Even the most fringe alt-right bloggers today feel the need to express how tolerant they are of homosexuals, presumably because of how strong the media's putsch for gay marriage was back in the 2000s.
