What did ancient humans eat?
literally paleo
Red meat like venison and boars, lean white meat from birds, fish, eggs and fish roe, berries, nuts, fruits, raw grains, honey as a treat, seasonal greens like dandelions, wild onion, roots and tubers.
Did they really pick berries and nuts? Seems like a pain in the ass.

>Wre we really going to toil in the fields harvesting little bits of wheat and picking beans for millenia? Seems like a pain in the ass.

Berries seem barely worth the effort in terms of nutrition. And i want to say the same about nuts too. Seems like they'd pick them if they came across them instead of actively seeking them out.

I know rite my dad told me to pick dandelions and my back hurt after the first 5 minutes

I'm actually developing a small hunter-gatherer community in Banished right now and this is mostly what my folks eat too
Fun game

Anything that wasn't known to be fatally toxic, and likely small amounts of things that were; for recreation, just like we drink and some of us eat shrooms and other shit.
