It's not just french philosophy all of the philosophy has gone to shit. Postmodern, analytic, continental, doesn't matter. It's totally separated from life. Antic and medieval thinkers were last true thinkers. 18th-century philosophy culminated in natural science, everything else is just mental masturbation.
