Hey /his/,
I am not a regular here, but I was wondering if anybody can recommend some good history channels on youtube.
I am interested in history, but I never had a lot of formal education about it. Youtube has shown itself to be a great way to learn shit as long as you're not pretending that it is as in depth as a real education.
I like Bill Wurtz's history of Japan/Everything. I think he has the right approach: Being thorough but concise. A good balance between entertainment and educational value.

Why do people like to think they learned so much about history from this video? The video is intended to be entertaining, which I agree that it is. It doesn't go into depth about the topics, so you're left without having learned all that much.

You can't learn history within 20 minute videos because it's all too fast paced and not detailed enough.
The only "good" one is The Great War because it takes you through WWI day by day, not summing the entire thing up in a mix of Vine bits that equal 10 minutes in length.
But I do like watching Feature History and Military History Visualized when I'm eating or bored. Bill Wurtz is fun entertainment but it's barely educational at all. To say you understand the entire history of the world from one 20 minute video is mental retardation.

they explain the Cause and effect of major events in an intresting way because they paint the perspectives of key players involved. Also i find that the context of those events is explainded very clearly and that the without dragging out the pace of the video.
they after every video they also make a video about any misinformation in their videos and cool stuff that they could not put in.
