Philip was given control over a crippled empire, was forbidden from uniting the crowns (the entire reason the was started), the French didn't gain the Spanish Netherlands, and the French king started a war with France less than 5 years after the war ended.

The defeats are irrelevant, the Austrians were on the winning side in the end, and the French on the losing. And obviously fucking up Spain doesn't count, they were Bourbon by that point
