My Great-grandpa found this flag in a German tavern while fighting in th e Rhineland in ww2. I haven't been able to find any info on it, admittedly i haven't looked that hard but I'd love it if you guys could identify it and tell me what you know about it.

Can you take a higher resolution pictures perhaps?
Oh that's the blurredasfuckgetabettercamerafaggotfuhrer flag. It is a flag that German residents would fly if they were partially sighted or blind so that the RSHA knew who should be sent to the local Action t4 program.
wtf kind of picture is this, take a better one
also there's always the possibility that its a unique piece that some random person made themselves. When I was in Poland in 2004 I remember seeing an EU flag with the word yes inside the circle that was just something that person had made.

Closest thing I could find is if it were holding a cross, it was a red Cross flag. http://collectorsmilitaria.com/wwii_german_red_ross_standard_flag_050415.htm

It's really hard to say without seeing the full thing, the nazis used quite a few similar designs to that.
That being said it is very uncommon for the swastika to be placed over the top of the eagle, and the most noted example is as another anon said the German red cross, so seeing if the eagle is holding a flag would be my first instinct.
