Saw an interview with the daughter of a German tanker whose Panther was knocked out by a Pershing in the famous Cologne combat footage. He had been upset, believing the Pershing was actually a German tank that the Americans had "tricked" them with. I wonder how much of its success was just because Germans didn't know what it was.
