I would have taken advantage of the Mechelen incident to move forces into Belgium in the winter/spring of 1940 and have a dug in defense along the Maas and Dyle rivers before the Germans attack, pretty much obviating the Manstein plan.

If they started listening to de Gaulle in 1932 and not 1938, then sure. But you have to understand that the entire army was being mismanaged, the thought of an impassable line was reassuring both to the French people and the politicians which caused stubborness.

The Armee de l'Air had an impressive force available to them, but they kept something like half their forces in reserve, allowing the Luftwaffe to attain air superiority.

As far as decisive fuckups go, you had
