I've always understood the problem to be that minorites are forced to shoulder the burden of a collective identity.

Black people have to worry about making black people look bad, etc.

The problem with white guilt is that it should be left to the commedians, as its their job to help people come together and collecting work through shit, laugh at themselves and others equally.

The problem with progressives is that they've taken the idea further, that they can CONDECEND the bigotry and privelige out of people in an effort to speed equalisation along.
