In Irish history people who have red hair generally have the epithet "Rua" (anglicised as "Roe")
But no, there isn't really any evidence for widespread historical discrimination based on red hair. It seems to be a very modern phenomenon.

Similarly Slavs are described as being universally red haired by writers from 6th century to about 8th or 9th century AD when they start diverging from each other.
Possibly early Slavs and early Germanics were quite similar to each other as they were both Indo European tribes.

Mohammad is said to have had red hair. Coming from a muslim family in the Balkans, I once told he would actually dye it red, hence dyeing hair is actually very acceptable in Islam. I don't know anything else.
