Materialism has the inherent beliefs that a) your senses are real and carry truth values with the information that they feed you and b) material things are worth more than abstract things, among other beliefs I cannot convey or know.

The first one is arguable by means of radical skepticism, the second by whatever value system you choose.

But I don't personally know any arguments against materialism itself. I'm not a very well read person.

Materialism is tied to capitalism and corporatism. Ultimately untenable and unsatisfactory. The whole thing reeks of pyramid scheme where the only way to obtain happiness is to keep buying all throughout your life.

This is stupid. Buying material goods does increase happiness.
Are you cold? Buy a heater. You are now not cold, and thus feel better.
You can also buy blinds for your window, to get privacy and keep the sun out, better quality sound system for your music, better cooking pots and kitchen robots so you can make more delicious meals, and so on.

Owning items does increase your happiness, since these items all have a purpose, and the purpose is almost always to make you feel better and live easier.
