BN isnt a sword art. Its not based on living lineages of sword fighting or reconstructions from manuals, though some practitioners might also be involved in such things. Its guys in armor beating on each other and grappling. Actual armored combat either targets gaps or uses large weapons which will cause percussive damage through the armor.
