I recently came across the writings of Onfim, a schoolboy from Old Novgorod whose scribbles have been preserved on the bark he wrote on: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onfim
It reminded me of those Roman grafittis (http://www.pompeiana.org/Resources/Ancient/Graffiti%20from%20Pompeii.htm) and I was wondering if any /his/torians know any more of these. Just little day-to-day writing that have survived the ages and give us a glimpse into the live of our ancestors.
