I have been reading about Gnosticism and it makes more sense

Gnostic here, I worship Abraxas and consider jesus to have been sent by the demiurge.

It became, but it has many names nowadays such as progressivism, marxism and calvinism.

Personal experience, I was a christian before being gnostic, and the horrible experience where my spirit felt dead inside is what led me to this belief.

you can't say "Everything is screwed up" and expect that to be a engaging worldview

I am a perennial philosopher which accepts the mystical nature of Christ and Man, so it is similar to Gnosticism.

I think that Truth is sacred, and that telling people about creation in an absolutely certain manner(as if you were speaking of facts when they are opinions) when you are wrong is a sin. It could be considered lying to the most minute degree.

I think the Gnostics were closer to Christianity than other branches, but they faltered in their mission due to spreading falsehood.

I think more popular branches of Christianity make similar mistakes, claiming that humans are not divine (Is it not written, you are Gods?)

I think it is okay to state opinions but not speak in absolutes.

I say "I think" or "I believe" so and so. I suppose if you do this you should be okay and still be able to get along alright in society.

"Life is suffering" seems to work just fine for buddhism.
