Never understood why people sperg the fuck out over creationism so hard.
If you're religious or any kind of deist it's not that difficult to square divine intervention with a scientific understanding of the world.
Some form of creationism just seems like the logical extension of religious belief, it's no better or worse than the ex nihilo big bang
I've read David Pearce's 'The Hedonistic Imperative'. It's free, I recommend it. It even deals with counter-arguments to extropianism at the end.

People only think of the 5000 year old earth and no evolution when they hear creationism.

This is kind of region specific.
I'd say American civil war should be lower where I live (UK) whereas the English civil war should be a bit higher.

Because modern retards aren't able to differentiate between YEC and creationism.

Creationism is YEC, you're talking about intelligent design

Case in point.
>>2694812
No, they mean creationism. Creationism is creationism. YEC is a subset of creationism. Intelligent design is also a subset of creationism.

Hear hear

While I agree that YEC is a subset of Creationism, Creationism is actually a subset of Intelligent Design.
>t. YEC
