Tell me, how can a state be a successor to a previous one if it gained it's independence from an Empire? I can understand why Turkey isn't there since Greece, Iraq and Iran all probably dislike Turkey. Stuff like the destroying Greek heritage in Anatolia and funding ISIS against Iraq and Iran.
