Was the aristocratic class superior to the modern wealthy or super wealthy class?
why do you think so
>Smelly inbred politically powerful NEETS
Vs
>Intelligent, hardworking, genetically superior capitalists
Aristocracy are the results of hundreds of generations of high breeding dating back to the time of protocivilizations.
Rich capitalists are often low born low brow scum who have more dollars than sense.
It's all in the face of a person. You can tell right away.
but does breeding really create better people in the long run, what about all the insane and deformed monarchs? doesn't the idea of an aristocracy create inbreeding
i don't really mind if inbreeding creates some bad examples though, just if the aristocracy really had ascended people
There are some critiques of class analysis in the french revoloution that say the french aristocrats were even keeping up with the capitalists in economic innovation
Also, does art created for the masses, is it inferior to art that was produced for aristocrats?

You don't get wealthy in capitalism with a low IQ
Aristocracies are literally made of drooling abominations
Aristocrats became obsolete once European monarchs had control over standing armies, trade networks and bureaucracy. Their whole reason for being was to provide fighting men and some semblance of territorial control; often, they were more trouble than they were worth, and increasingly devolved into feckless hedonists as they became even more useless. Any other contributions they could have made to society would be obviated by the development of education systems.

The bourgeoisie divide labor. The same person who builds a company isn't qualified to lead the army and vice versa. While some business leaders cross into government most politicians spend decades in the government before they get near the top.
putting some guy in charge and trusting that education and grooming will make him a good leader is no better than a crap shoot

pretty much this
aristocrats have all the corruption and disdain for normal people as the higher classes of today but none of the meritocracy or innovation

No because at least there is some mobility in today's society.

the question isn't is it more just, the question is if they were 'better' people in your opinion; maybe 'greater' is a better term
For all those that think aristocracy breeding had no effect on the populations of nations I ask you to look closely at nations that had/have strong caste systems.
Britain and India in particular are good examples. Both have long histories of caste systems and to this day the results are evident.
