Patton was absolutely based. Nobody understood blitzkrieg tactics like he did. Monty was way less efficient with his use of troop strength and the Soviets literally only had strength in numbers going for them and basically only Zukhov adapted his tactics late in the war to counter the Germans. I recommend Patton, Montgomery, Rommel: Masters of War to learn more. Lots of good information and very engaging.
