Is Livius.org a good resource to learn about ancient history? Is it more in-depth than just wikipedia articles?

It's authoritative. But it's not the sort of thing you just browse.
Great website. Totally forgot about it. Thanks anon.
Thanks for sharing it!
If anyone knows other sites about ancient history, post them!
It's pretty good, though it lacks some of the info that wiki has on very obscure subjects of the ancient world, like say this random city or this random god. On certain subjects it also doesn't present a breadth of theories that have been offered, which wiki sometimes does, which you'd read on a more general survey.
I haven't read it in a really good while so my criticism might be completely off now but it was good for what it was even then. I think the guy who owns it actually has a history degree too.
But books and articles are good too you know.
