I assume you mean life tends to suck. It doesn't. It's a matter of perspective. You are projecting your problems unto "reality". You may get the same destructive feelings and emotions from breaking up a long, intimate relationship, with the feelings of a millionaire heir, having no real intimate connections or crashing the family business. Happiness, according to how you'll define it is entirely subjective. You sound depressed.
