Moreso than Hitler himself, though, was the process of a society, under a small cabal of ravenous ideologues and futurists, go from the dustbin of history, to the masters of Europe and planning a new Rome, all in the course of less than 10 years.

We haven't seen anything like that since. Their reich certainly didn't last a thousand years, but we probably won't see a shift in humanity like that for another thousand.

Hitler had served his purpose by the start of the war, and should have been assassinated. The other Nazi ideologues were so beta it wasn't even funny, though. The only person strong enough and an actual Nazi would have been Heydrich. Von Manstein probably could have actually won the war, if given full reign from the beginning, or at the very least, fought his way into an advantageous peace.
