Why were the Europeans the ones who discovered the world and not the world that discovered Europe?
Indigenous Americans were basically a Stone Age people by the time Columbus and other explorers got there. It must be hard to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a canoe.
there is essentially no point to technological progress if you live in a warm climate

Every civilized people already knew the existence of other before "Europeans discovered the world".
The missing links were the Sub saharan african tribes and the American Indian tribes, and some pockets of uncivilized areas around australia.
Europeans only "discovered" the "world" because dissolution of Roman empire removed them from the world stage. Trade still happened across other parts of the world.

Traveled ocean currents in rafts/canoes, eventually getting as far and remote as Hawaii.
Hawaii's population was so large that battles there between Polynesian tribes could reach as large as 15,000 people on each side... Polynesian history is interesting, there needs to be more threads about it.
