There is a difference between
Nepotism(preferred employment of relatives)
and
NEPOTISM(only hire/shill for relatives)

When the latter happen, the affected arena tends to loose all contact with the outside world, and all grounding in reality.
Now, NEPOTISM is fine for a clan or extended family. But for small family units? It gets really silly.
