Totally. People think of philosophy as an investigative discipline, but this is fundamentally wrong in my opinion. Philosophy is a creative discipline, and philosophers themselves a form of artist. They create frameworks in which we put ourselves and our existences into terms we can make sense of and thus meaningful use out of.
