What the fuck was his problem?
Caligula literally did NOTHING wrong

That is Seneca, who was involved with Nero.

>Son of one of Romes most famous generals who people saw as their Alexander the Great and a paragon of virtue who would restore the republic
>Do stupid shit like build massive party barges
I get that history isn't black and white and that Caligula himself has been target of propaganda but I mean c'mon

Germanicus was over-rated, though. Or probably was.
>>2585181
Lies! Literally everyone from Spain to even Persia wept when he died. He was the second coming of Romulus.
>>2585189
Sort of the definition of over-rated, yeah?
>>2585149
Involved with both actually.
>JUST
>>2585173
>still falling for senatorial propaganda
Good proletarii

Say on, friend!
Since he was an active politician during the time of Claudius, it makes sense that he was alive during the reign of Gaius Caligula, but I don't recall him being a player until Claudius was holding down the fort. Would be interested in knowing abut Seneca and Caligula, his history with Nero is fascinating.

I always thought it was the works of both senecas which inspired suetonius to rage about caligula. Evidently there is only said they could afford to openly say at the time caligula was ruling, especially with him clamping down on senatorial power. I mean, he even tried to get his dad killed.
