Being honest with yourself doesn't mean you need to wear your flaws on your sleeve. If you never have any real introspection you can't grow as a person.

Humility in moderation is good, because most people overestimate their worth.
If you conduct yourself entirely in accordance with your own self-perception, you will likely seem pompous and arrogant to others who do not view you as highly as you view yourself.
