Probably not, war is dirty business and I doubt showers were plentiful on the eastern front. They were probably much cleaner on the western front in general because of the lack of action there between 41-44.

I can't speak much about North Africa but presumably showers were lacking there too, leading to some dirtiness, but the sand of Africa is probably cleaner than the mud of Russia.

There are accounts of Einsatzgruppen inviting Wehrmacht units "zum Judenschießen" (shooting jews).

Civilians were raped, enslaved and used as human shields (as early as 1939 in poland).

I am not entirely sure about the western Front. There are accounts of french colonial troops being massacred in 1940 but i am somewhat certain that was actually done by a SS-Unit.

I don't want to start with "Bandenbekämpfung" (a natsoc euphemism for fighting partisans).

Thats me speaking as a Wehraboo. The other armed forces of the majors were involved in dark shit too but sadly the wehrmacht was the worst.

They actually were. Whole Units had to be pulled from front line due to STI's. The higher echelons tried to solve that with military brothels because the problem was so rampant.
