If you don't have a Blazon, you don't have arms. My extended family apparently has over 50 arms granted to us, but this is the arms of "my family". I do not have the right to bear them though, they do not belong to me.

What is the difference between the Arms of the family and the arms of an individual within the family?
Is the family arms like a general design which the individual then adds his own flavour to?
Can the first member of a family possess the family arms?

Arms are handed down, usually (I think) from father to son. They just never got down to my branch of the family.
In this day and age I could show my arms, but I really have to right to bear them. There is one individual who technically owns each respective arms and is his right to hand them down to the next generation, and it is his right alone to bear them.
I think that's how it works anyway, heraldry is such a complicated thing. I cannot find a visual representation of my arms past the old printed picture on my family tree book.

99% of those are fake and are created to sell to gullible idiots.

Yeah, I'm trying to get into Heraldry but it's very difficult to understand the nuances of it

Your best bet is emailing and getting into contact with the heraldry society, if you have a blazon, it can be ALOT easier. If not try to have some sort of an, accurate, family tree.

They could charge you a fee, but if you are interested, it's well wroth it.
>tfw mother's family has an emblem despite not being noble and coming from a small hamlet in the Alps
I don't have a picture at hand, but it represents a chamois suckling a baby and it's a reference to a legend about the forefather of the family.

All of you faggots will get guillotined.
Also, I'm pretty sure that isn't your coat of arms, it's just the original "GarcĂa" noble family coat of arms. You are probably like 1/256 noble.
