You should've just done it on Bohemond of Taranto, Tancred was just his sidekick.
Here's what I know about Bohemond
>Spends much of life fighting legitimacy issues (he really shouldn't have been considered the legitimate heir, but was such a hard ass and strong leader that it didn't matter)
>Fights Byzantines a couple times
>First Crusade happens
>Bohemond joins and admits to his counselors that he only joined in the first place because he was planning on stealing Byzantine land on the way there
>Brings cousin Tancred with him because he's a good kid
>arrives in Constantinople
>Emperor orders all Crusader leaders to declare fealty
>Tancred refuses
>Bohemond declares fealty with no intention of sticking with it
>Emperor's daughter writes a description of him that makes it apparent that she wants his dick
>Fights through Anatolia, does pretty damn well
>feels like Byz aren't pulling their weight
>Takes Antioch for himself and tells the Emperor to fuck off
>Emperor doesn't fuck off
>They fight each other for a bit before he submits and gives the Byzantines some taxes and shit
>only greater Crusader lord is Godfrey of Bouillon
