Yes, Hitler was an evil madman who didn't care about killing innocent people and total destruction. Could you imagine how horrible the world would be if we didn't annihilate cities of pe- I mean bomb Hitler and stop him?

Yes. It wouldn't have done them any good. It may have slowed the allies down for a time but it certainly wouldn't impact the outcome of the war.
The only thing it would've accomplished is making rebuilding after the war even more difficult.
