How did the Blitzkrieg advance so rapidly if the German army wasn't wholly mechanized/motorized?
>>
Germans can walk really fast.

Horses.
>>
>>2495134

THEY TARGETED CRITICAL PRIMARY POINTS, THEN MOVED TO THE SECONDARY ONES, THEN THE REST.

This.
In fact, every war ever has been won by walking faster than the other army. The advancement of a society can be measured by the efficiency of their strides.

Fun fact: German Horse & Carriage in WWII? Not just run-of-the-mill wood & spoked wheel carriages like in earlier wars.

Nazi Germany a few years before the war invented new, all steel carriages that has truck tier suspensions. The Gnatzees might not be wholly mechanized but the carriages were standardized and well made to ensure efficiency in transport. Furthermore its hitch can also be used for towing by motor vehicles. A single truck can probably tow two of these linked together like a train.

Not that is a fun fact, thanks anon.

However it doesn't really address the obvious answer to OP's post, which is that Blitzkrieg tactics applied to vanguard military forces and largely ignored the non-mechanized supply chain.

Well, that was the problem they faced in Russia, where the government didn't collapse after the initial shock, and the territory was far larger than the confined battle spaces of Western and Central Europe.

So while the Panzer and motorised divisions could encircle Red Army units by the tens and hundreds of thousands, there weren't enough of them to properly close the hole. Tens of thousands of Red Army soldiers managed to escape pockets before the German infantry showed up.

by that statement singapore would be advanced as fuck but that isnt the case you fuckwit
>>
>>2495527
Signapore is advanced giving the timeline it has taken and its neighbours
>>
>>2495134
because the point of Blitzkrieg was to smash the enemy forces and push them back to the limits of your supply lines as quickly as possible
>>

ford sold them a fuckload of trucks at a discount, thats how they managed to trek over czech and slovakia and hungary so fast, even tho hungary basicaly became a ally so that helped, those were later used when going over ukraine and belorusia, but realy horses and horse carriages, ox carriages, mules and donkeys, these were all perfectly normal things in europe up untill the economic boom in the 50 when suddenly people started buying cars

blitzkrieg was not a very efficient tactic on the whole

it derived from what some wehrmacht generals developed as a concept of total mechanized warfare after the horror of getting bogged down in the first war, something different and and larger in volume than blitzkrieg, basicaly the thing that the allies sent against nazis and japan, involving massive use of aeral bombing and huge fast moving tank formations, but germans honestly couldnt manage that kind of thing in 1939, they pulled it off in france on a fuckup, and poland just wasnt strong enought to defend itself properly

so they sort of adapted it to their available means, emphasizing things like mobility and effectivnes of single tanks or weapons, specialist designs, elite tactics, making them rather autistic in how they approached bulk production

this was in every way the opposite to how soviets did shit, the blitzkrieg that hitler had in mind worked in europe cauze roads, soviet defense tactics where exactly the thing that fucks up a blitzkrieg, all german mechanised forces got draged out like chewing gum, they were down to some 35% of their initial vehicle park by late 1942, shit just broke down and the shit that had to get the shit to fixt it broke down yesterday, today they ran out of food, and tommorow they run out of gass - that only leaves them ammo, but you know how zhukov deal with ammo

germans didnt realy stand a chance

and to think hitler meant to send rations of methamphetamines to the eastern front
