Whether it be religious, philosophical, political, etc., I'm curious to know what you believe in and the strongest reasons WHY you believe it as well.

Atheist. I can't make the concept deities not invented by humans make sense in my head.
>>2488776
Christian. I trust the apostles. Faith.

I don't belive anything but I want to belive. All I know is that I know nothing.
The existence and quality of all things (including those of the observer) are a content of the mind. Existence implies an observer functionally

whats your definition of diesm?
>>2489515
Basically?
There is a God, who in some manner created the universe, but has not been an active force since then.
Wikipedia does a fairly decent job of summing it up.
>>2489519
so you don't agree or follow any religious doctrine of faith or any of the councils? because they adress some of these deist beliefs and understandings of god.
>>2489536
If I agreed or followed them I wouldn't be a deist.
I can reasonably see God as existing, but nothing beyond that seems to hold up to me.
Not due to lack of wanting, I WANT to believe there's more to it, I just haven't been convinced. Maybe I'm missing something I don't know.
Absurdism. It makes embracing the meaninglessness of life far smoother and happier than any other philosophy i've tried so far.
I choose to live in the present, i do not tangle myself in thoughts of post mortem. Whatever happens, happens. Most likely it will be nothing, so... we kinda don't have to worry.
And yes, i'm that quirky and cringy guy that likes astrophysics and shit.
>>2488776
Orthodox Christian. I trust the Apostles, the Church Fathers and the mercy of God.
>>2488776
Used to believe out of fear. Then I left. I miss some things about it.

Agnostic hoping that not only God but other Pagan deities exist somewhere. It would make the world really interesting. I was raised Catholic but the whole "Worship none other than me for I am a jealous God" really threw me off. Also learning of God's relationship to Asherah really made me lose faith in the "One God" belief I was taught. Politically, I'm told by others that I'm a Liberal, but I also have very Conservative opinions so I like to consider myself neutral.
