Is Islam ok if it's aesthetique?
Muslim gardens are the most aesthetic gardens. I love them so much.

I'd rather spend a quiet afternoon sitting on one of those wonderfully decorated carpets of a mosque with the sunlight streaming through the abstract geometric patterned stained glass windows anyday than any church on an equivalent day.

>dude let's give the facade weird colors and symbols make it look like a hive, lmao
The architect must've been tripping on acid when he designed that.

Drawing people, animals, or things in general are just forbidden in Islam. So they put a lot of their creative art pursuits into shapes, gardens, and architecture.

>make it look like a hive, lmao
that's actually the point. it's supposed to resemble God's creations without explicitly depicting it. calligraphy and tiling is often designed to look like plantlife too

Arabic language and calligraphy is so beautiful. Man, this makes me wish they would just hurry up and move past tribalism and fundamentalism already. A secular Arab world with something like Sufism as its majority faith would be amazing.

It'd be a pretty cool religion if it was super focused on horticulture and gardening as a means of worship.
