No. His complaints against Catholicism are valid. Granted, 99% of Christians are awful Christians with no idea about their scripture or history and believe in crappy apologetics, but Protestantism is closer to Christianity than Catholicism is with all the shit they did, on top of all the pagan influences co-opted into the religion to make converting people easier.

It may be an overused meme, but Catholics are barely Christian outside of paying lip service to Christ.

As a man, no. His ideas and tenets were meant to form the basis of a spiritual course correction. It was not his plan for the 95 Theses to turn into a social revolution in Europe. People started taking his teachings and applying it to other aspects of their life outside of spirituality (i.e. personal wealth, resulting in the Calvinists and peasant revolts).

In the eyes of the Catholic Church, he is. Pope Francis may say that he was a 'good man,' but you'll notice he is not in any rush to abdicate and dissolve the papacy. Luther's teachings are a violation of Christianity as Catholicism teaches it.
