I don't consider myself to be either anti-Christian or anti-Semitic (I don't dislike the people of either inherently, though I find their fundamental doctrines appalling) but OP is correct in that the basic ideas of Christianity are an introduced species in European thought.

Christians it's worth noting also have a nasty history of destroying pagan cultural sites, attacking their religious leaders, and forcing conversion; they also destroyed several texts they anathematized and were behind the closing of the philosophical schools in Rome.
