Is living in a post-facts society a natural out growth of living in a society that has fully embraced post modernism. I am saying since we are living in a state of constant war between opposing narratives why be concerned with objective when post-modernism undermines objective truth. With the elimination of the meta-narrative than the need to fight for your preferred truth becomes that much more necessary to understanding your place in this universe.

I always saw "post-modernism" as a rise in the acceptance in subjective morals/truths. In America, previous generations were much more influenced by religion and less by fringe media outlets.
