Basically these good, blessed holy people are known for their works: child rape, torture, arson, burning people alive, forgery and many other good works proper of holy men.
Probably the true religion was easy and pleasant, but books and practicioners were burned by bible thumpers in a blind rage, since bible thumpers are unable to let a day pass without being holy.
