Archaeology in 2000 years
>dugtrio.tiff
>oh a chinese mass produced plastic tupperware from 2000 AD
>worthless shit throw it away
This doesn't apply just to pottery, but pretty much everything. A computer will be equally worthless unlike Antikythera mechanism. Not to mention houses, books, etc. Contemporary products don't have any value, they're equally worthless now as they will be in the future.

Archaeology isn't important because what we dig is pretty, you speg. It what its tell us about how people lived. A preserved plastic container with food residue says an enormous about the society it was produced in.
Damn, opened the thread expecting discussion on high res geophysics, photogrammetry etc. I know I should have expected something fucking stupid but "dude tupperware is ugly looooooool" under the pompous title of "Future of Archaeology" is some next level potato tier bullshit
