i'm not sure. most of what i know about the balkans comes from int/his memes and dating a bulgarian girl for a few months.
but coming from ireland, i see it as similar to the situation in the north of my country. i think eventually things will get better with more education and economic improvement. (however in places like FYROM "education" is having a counterproductive effect where butthurt is concerned)
if you guys can go long enough without another war, eventually young people will care less about the differences and learn to work together. i can see all of this happening (slowly) in northern ireland. i hope the same happens in the balkans.
