Thing was as the war went into 1945, certain targets could be hit with heavier, more concentrated air attacks due to the Luftwaffe virtually being a non factor. It was possible for an area to get hit by a 1000 plane US 8th AF raid then get a similar sized RAF strike that same night. Around the timings of the raids would be all kinds of activity by tactical aircraft.

It was to the point that any kind of activity on the ground was drawing attacks from Allied aircraft.
