Beautiful

Against the current, in the face of fiery winds,
up to the horse's bellies in flowing lavas,
Storms the combustile chevallier squadron
to choke the cannon-throats with their knees.
Into damp darkness melts heads of the chevalliers
rain of earth, clay and broken rock.
Those who fell shall be heroes -
Those who survive shall be leaders!

But these faces not yet frozen from the fire
they'll have to warp into honest smiles,
wipe the past from their weary eyes
and listen closely - to the breath of whispers.
Dead is not he who had fallen,
but he who marches in the dead glory.
Those who have fallen shall be heroes -
Those who survived have to fight another day.
