Well nihilism is incoherent in itself.

People aren't nihilists, they embrace resentment.

Taking any action runs contrary to nihilism. It doesn't need to be disproven, because nobody believes it in the first place.

Nihilism is ultimately what you end up with if you're an atheist.

You can delude yourself into believing there's some purpose, some goal, some reason, but it all ends up being illusions or "spooks" because you don't believe in sacred or divine things. You're just a bag of chemicals reacting to its environment, a product of random chance.

Atheism is a depressing and suicidal ideology.
Either you go full on nihilism or hedonism.

Thankfully, God exists so we don't need to worry about the atheists and their dilemma.

Is there any way for a naturalist and materialist worldview not to inevitably lead to nihilism? Naturalists believe 'meaning' is an artificial thing created by the mind, and the mind is purely a function of the biological brain and the brain is dominated by deterministic chemical reactions. Naturalism rejects such questions as "Why do we exist" and states there is no 'why' it was the inevitable result of natural phenomenon.

The problem is you can say you consider your life to have meaning but in the end the naturalist worldview says that is a mirage and there is no inherent meaning to anything in existence. Few actually bother to go all the way down the rabbit hole and follow that line of thought to it's logical conclusion though

You don't quite understand what atheism is.

Atheists don't need 'purpose'. They don't need to believe in anything. That's the point. They are content with material reality; the 'bag of chemicals reacting randomly'' as you say.

Nihilism is a needlessly deep and counterproductive interpretation of what reality/atheism is or can be. It's just an ultra cynical perspective that is only subscribed to by certain atheists who want this 'meaning' and are crushed because there is none. In fact, a nihilist is basically a broken christian.

It is christians who have the delusion in actuality and need this 'purpose' and 'meaning' too because they are wholly inadequate in themselves. Therefore, they seek an external source, which they themselves and no other person can possibly confirm or deny is legitimate. From there they can go on contented because some higher power is in care of they things they can't control or explain.

Both nihilism and christianity are spooks and both are actually more depressing and suicidal ideologies because both long for 'meaning' and 'purpose'.

I say again, atheists have recognised these spooks and have discarded them, finding contentment and gratitude in simply having the opportunity to exist at all. There is no dilemma for us. We're satisfied.

Any 'meaning you create is a product of your mind, which is a product of your brain, which is the product of a natural world with no inherent meaning. So the issue isn't really proving nihilism, it's inbuilt to naturalism
