Why did England and France try so hard to prevent WW2? They let Germany take Austria and Czechoslovakia, and told the polish not to mobilize to defend their borders because it might provoke Germany. It seems like they knew another great war was coming, they saw that Germany was building tanks and training soldiers from way before, why didn't they strike first?
>>
I was in charge of the allied defenses and the humans saw WW2 as really important and imagined an angry nation striking against the rest of Europe so I reaffirmed their world. Allowing them to build their defenses, also, their were multiple spells casted by the original The Father of Holy Trinity that made the Germans more powerful than they would be normally.

>Why did England and France try so hard to prevent WW2?

Most of them remembered fighting in WW1 and did not want to replay it.
>>
French were getting wet on the thought how Germans are going to fail if they storm Maginot Line.

With that logic there'd be no wars

>Why would people want to avoid the largest war in history if they could?
>>
After the carnage that was WWI nobody wanted another Great war.

Save the germans....they are savages

Just a guess:
They didnt want another world war and Hitler seemed to be focused on central and eastern europe which would eventually make him collide with the USSR which was alright for Britain and France, two dangerous powers weakening each other. They thought a conquest of France was impossible, a feeling shared by most of the german high command aswell. When they actually pulled it off no one was more amazed than the german generals themselves.

Way too tryhard

People forget. Subsequent generations are not able to understand the hell which is war.

>People forget
They didn't forget. Everyone knew exactly what they were getting into for round two. Just as in the first war, Germany was desperate enough to not care.

Because in 1938 the military situation was much more favorable to Germany than it was in 1940. Per Horne's "To Lose a Battle, p.117-120:

-Germany possessed five Panzer divisions in November 1938, albeit mostly with Panzer II and Panzer I tanks.

-The powerful S35 tank that would equip the DLM during the Battle of France had only just entered full production at the start of the year, and less than 100 had been completed by mid 1938. Guderian assessed French armoured formations as only having firepower fit for reconnaissance units.

-France's first real armored divisions, the DCR's, didn't exist until January 1940.

-Yearly production of the Moraine MS.406 in 1938 stood at a paltry 65 aircraft.

-In September of 1938 Germany had over 500 Messerschmitts (along with about 60 early model Bf.110s and a smattering of 300 or so older biplane fighters), while France had just a few dozen Moranes - basically just an extended run of prototypes. German air support would be assured.

-In October of 1938 by far the most common French fighters the Germans would have faced would have been the obsolete Dewoitine D.500s and D.501s, which had fixed landing gear and open cockpits. Even then the French fighter squadrons were badly outnumbered, with only about 300 Dewoitines in frontline service as of August 1938. Similarly the RAF had only one operational Hurricane squadron (16 planes) at the time of Munich, as that type was also just entering service, with just four more squadrons forming. [Isby, "The Decisive Duel,"]

Waiting was the right move. By late 1939/early 1940 the Allies were in every way outproducing the Germans. They were not ready in 1938 because they didn't choose to self-destruct their economy to force the construction of a massive military. Like Germany did.
