The elegance and societal contributions of abrahamic religions have dwindled to nigh nothing. As much as one might wish for their significance to be restored, their value has been obliterated by the tide of secularism. They're just used now in the west to sell shit, and in the east to justify totalitarian rule. Only non-affiliated and independent religious study holds merit anymore, because any religious "authority figure" is going to spoon-feed you a crooked and twisted narrative of a once purely-intentioned institution.
